Hutton Co. names senior execs

Chattanooga, Tenn. — Development, construction, brokerage and property management firm The Hutton Co. said Thursday that Geoff Smith and Bob Elliot, formerly of CBL & Associates, have joined the company.

Karen J. Hutton, owner of the Hutton Co., will retain her title as CEO and Geoff Smith will serve as president. Bob Elliott has been named VP of Hutton Construction.

Smith was the VP development at Chattanooga, Tenn.-based mall owner CBL & Associates and has worked in this business for more than 23 years. Elliot was previously development manager for CBL.

Pet Valu to open at Ocean Heights Shopping Center

Somers Point, N.J. — Brixmor Property Group announced a 2,400-sq.-ft. lease has been executed with Pet Valu at Ocean Heights Shopping Center, located in Somers Point, N.J.

Brixmor, based in New York City, is the owner of Ocean Heights Shopping Center.

Hamilton Plaza renovation nears completion

Hamilton Township, N.J. — North Plainfield, N.J.-based Levin Management said Thursday that its year-long, multi-million dollar renovation of 59-year-old Hamilton Plaza is nearing completion. The renovation of the 184,272-sq.-ft. center, located in Hamilton Twp., N.J., includes significant upgrades to the common areas, and the addition of two pad sites and a 10,000-sq.-ft. end cap.

Long-time anchor tenant ShopRite has renovated and expanded its store from some 53,000 sq. ft. to more than 83,000 sq. ft., and now carries the World Class Store designation. A.C. Moore, another long-time anchor, has renovated its 20,400-sq.-ft. store as well.

Moe’s Southwest Grill has leased 2,600 sq. ft. in a former Blockbuster pad, and Texas Roadhouse has leased a new 6,500-sq.-ft. pad.

Also added was a 10,000-sq.-ft. end cap, with exposure to Yardville-Hamilton Square Road as well as to Route 33. Other tenants at Hamilton Plaza include Dollar Tree, Hallmark, Fashion Bug and Hair Cuttery.
