J.C. Penney, Ulta ink deal for new stores

Pleasant Prairie, Wis. Mid-America Asset Management and Mid-America Real Estate-Wisconsin said Tuesday that J.C. Penney and Ulta have leased space at Shoppes at Prairie Ridge, a 365,000-sq.-ft. shopping center in Pleasant Prairie, Wis.

J.C. Penney’s grand opening will be July 31, and Ulta is currently slated to open Nov. 2 of this year.

Other national tenants that are part of the new development include Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods, PetSmart and Maurice’s.

Mid-America Asset Management is a member of the Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.-based Mid-America Real Estate Group and a ChainLinks affiliate.

Target says new stores mean new jobs

MINNEAPOLIS Target announced that its 23 new stores, which open this week across the United States, will create 4,000 jobs.

Target will open four general merchandise stores, 17 general merchandise stores with expanded food options and two full-grocery SuperTarget stores. All 23 stores will celebrate their grand opening on July 26.

Hallmark greetings go mobile

KANSAS CITY, Mo. Hallmark has launched Hallmark Mobile Greetings a new product for cell phones that allows users to send greeting-card like messages to their friends and family.

The initial launch includes a small network of phone models, eventually Hallmark Mobile Greetings will work on the majority of mobile phone models and will be able to be sent from most major mobile phone networks to any other network.
