Jones Lang LaSalle awarded leasing and management of Hawaii Kai Towne Center

Honolulu — Jones Lang LaSalle announced that it has been awarded the leasing and management of Hawaii Kai Towne Center, a 480,000-sq.-ft. mixed-use center located in Honolulu.

Jones Lang LaSalle’s retail portfolio in Hawaii also includes Windward Mall on O’ahu, Queen Ka’ahumanu Center on Maui and the Kings’ Shops on Hawai‘i Island.

Jones Lang LaSalle was hired by the landlord, Kamehameha Schools. The retail center is currently 100% leased and is anchored by Costco Wholesale, Ross Dress for Less and City Mill Home Improvement Center.

Hobby Lobby expands at Paradise Pavilion

West Bend, Wis. — Brixmor Property Group announced Hobby Lobby recently expanded from 46,546 sq. ft. to 57,346 sq. ft. at Paradise Pavilion, located in West Bend, Wis.

Brixmor, based in New York City, is the owner of Paradise Pavilion.

Westfield names U.S. leasing division head

Los Angeles — The Westfield Group announced that David T. Weinert will join the U.S. unit of the group as senior executive VP leasing.

Weinert joins Westfield after 25 years with the Taubman Co., most recently serving as senior VP of leasing.

Weinert will begin his tenure with Westfield in mid-2013. He will replace Peter Leslie, who will return to Australia as head and director of leasing for the Australian portfolio. With the return of Peter Leslie to Australia, Westfield also announced the appointment of John Papagiannis – current leasing director in Australia – to the role of general manager, development for the Australian portfolio.
