Jones Lang LaSalle closes sale of Greenbriar Mall
Atlanta Jones Lang LaSalle announced it has closed the sale of the Greenbriar Mall in southwest Atlanta for Hendon Properties, LLC. A foreign investor purchased the 807,697-sq.-ft. mall.
According to JLL, the new owners plan to make significant capital improvements in the near term on the property. It is one of Atlanta’s first enclosed malls and the location of the nation’s first Chick-fil-A to be located in an enclosed mall.
Sears to open outlet store in Ohio
Hoffman Estates, Ill. Sears Holdings announced the opening of a new Sears Outlet location in Dublin, Ohio.
The Dublin outlet will also carry Lands’ End apparel at 60% to 80% off the retail price.
The location will receive new shipments of merchandise throughout the week and prices are continually marked down so shoppers are encouraged to check back often, the company said. Customers can take the items home that day or have their merchandise delivered.
CVS expands in St. Louis
Woonsocket, R.I. CVS Pharmacy is continuing its push in the St. Louis market with a new store planned to open in Creve Coeur, Mo.
CVS’ developer Cedarwood Development purchased 1.66 acres of vacant land in Creve Coeur for an undisclosed amount from the Koman Group. CVS received approvals from Creve Coeur officials for a nearly 13,000-sq.-ft. store at the site.
In January, CVS opened four stores in St. Louis. A location in Ballwin, Mo., is also planned to open this fall.
CVS currently has 46 stores in Missouri and 251 in Illinois.
