Jones Lang LaSalle exec named as receiver of Valley View Center
Dallas Atlanta-based Jones Lang LaSalle Retail said that Rick Vita of JLL has been appointed as receiver of Valley View Center, a 1,635,000-sq.-ft. mall in Dallas.
As the receiver, Vita is responsible for controlling and directing the asset until a resolution between the lender and borrowers is achieved.
Effective immediately, Jones Lang LaSalle said it is responsible for managing the mall and advising on the best course of action for the mall going forward. The mall will remain open for business as usual.
“Our management team is fully engaged in keeping the mall running smoothly,” said Greg Maloney, president and CEO of Jones Lang LaSalle Retail.
SRS wins listing for Edgewood Retail District
Atlanta Dallas-based SRS Real Estate Partners said it has won the listing for the Edgewood Retail District in Atlanta.
The 540,000-sq.-ft. retail center is co-anchored by Target and Lowe’s. Co-tenants include Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond, Kroger, Barnes & Noble, Ross Stores, Office Depot and Petco.
New retailers join Chestnut Hill Shopping Center
Chestnut Hill, Mass. WS Development said that several new retailers have joined Chestnut Hill Shopping Center, an open-air retail center in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
Angora Ice is opening a 413-sq.-ft. yogurt and smoothie shop; Comella’s is opening a 1,027-sq.-ft. fine Italian restaurant in early fall; EyeSpot will open a 1,554-sq.-ft. clinic and retail store; Urban Grape has just opened a 2,487-sq.-ft. wine store; and AT&T has opened in 2,784 sq. ft. of space.
