Leslie’s to open 48 stores this spring
Phoenix — Leslie’s PoolMart will mark the grand opening of five retail locations on April 12. The stores are in Gold Canyon, Ariz., Madera, Calif., Torrance, Calif., West Springfield, Mass., and Magnolia, Texas.
In total, Leslie’s plans to open 48 new stores this year between March and May. With these new stores and its recent acquisition of 24 Warehouse Pool Supply stores in the Houston area, Leslie’s will bring its total store count to more than 800 stores nationwide.

"Our new stores will offer customers an expansive selection of swimming pool supplies, pool equipment and recreational items.
Phoenix Premium Outlets officially opens
Chandler, Ariz. — Simon Property Group announced Friday that it opened Phoenix Premium Outlets, the upscale outlet shopping center serving the Greater Phoenix and Scottsdale areas.
The center, located in Chandler, Ariz., is adjacent to the Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino within the Wild Horse Pass Development. Phase I of the project, which is 100% leased, is 360,000 sq. ft. with 90 outlet stores including Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Calphalon Kitchen, Calvin Klein, Coach, Elie Tahari, Gap Factory Store, Hugo Boss, Lucky Brand, Michael Kors, Nike, Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, Tommy Bahama, Tommy Hilfiger, Under Armour and more. Additional merchants to open in the coming months include: Armani, Cole Haan, J.Crew, Kate Spade New York and Polo Ralph Lauren.
Galleria at Sunset to undergo $7 million remodel; H&M to open
Henderson, Nev. — One of Southern Nevada’s largest shopping centers is set to undergo a $7 million renovation, its largest since it opened in 1996. According to mall owner, Cleveland-based Forest City Enterprises, construction is scheduled to begin early April and is slated for completion in the fall.
Boutique Talulah will join H&M in the newly renovated mall. Bath & Body Works and Express stores will relocate to new locations inside the center.
The renovation will also bring improvements to the food court, center court, guest services center and restrooms. Other new amenities will include a new play area and a family restroom.
"We’re very excited about the renovation, which will enhance the experience and comfort of our shoppers," said Heather Valera, director of marketing for Galleria at Sunset. “We are also welcoming global fashion giant H&M, which is regularly requested by shoppers." The store will be two levels, approximately 20,000 sq. ft. and located in the heart of the shopping center.
The contractor on the project is VCC USA. The architect is RTKL.
The 1.05-million-sq.-ft. shopping center opened in 1996 and is anchored by Macy’s, J.C. Penney, Dillard’s, Kohl’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
