Longview Plaza acquired by Morris-Floyd Capital

Fort Worth, Texas — The 15.5-acre Longview Plaza power center has been acquired by Morris-Floyd Capital Partners. Located in Longview, Texas, the property is 100% leased.

Anchors include Bed, Bath & Beyond, T.J. Maxx, Michael’s, Office Depot, Best Buy and Books-A-Million. Sperry Van Ness brokered the sale. Longview Plaza Ltd. was the seller.

United Supermarkets to unveil new, Texas-inspired store design

Snyder, Texas — United Supermarkets’ store in Snyder, Texas, is set to unveil a fresh new look along with added services resulting from a store remodeling effort now under way. Snyder will be the first store to receive the new décor – as well as the new United logo.

“We are excited about the new look we are introducing this year for our United brand, and we are thrilled to be rolling it out first in our Snyder store,” Monica Schierbaum, senior director of marketing for United Supermarkets.

The most noticeable change to the new logo is the addition of a single star at the center, emblematic of the Lone Star State. “We are a Texas company, and we’ve always been inspired by the spirit, independence and self-sufficiency of Texans,” Schierbaum said.

Texas references will be evident throughout the Snyder store following completion of the remodeling effort, which also will include the addition of a mural in the entrance featuring images of the Snyder community.

The most striking feature will be a stylized tree, which will be suspended over the produce department.

“The tree will be the store landmark – a gathering place for our guests,” Schierbaum added.

The décor package also will include all new graphics and signage throughout the store.

Hudson Group to open 19 stores at new LAX terminal

East Rutherford, N.J. — The Hudson Group is opening 19 new stores at the soon-to-open Tom Bradley International Terminal at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The stores include Bulgari, Emporio Armani, Michael Kors, Coach, Hugo Boss, Bliss, Victoria’s Secret, Tumi, Fred Segak, Kitson, Travel & Leisure, See’s Candies, Virgin/Boost, Pinkberry, Entertainment Weekly News, CNN Newsstand Los Angeles, Angeleno, and Hudson.

"This award is a milestone for our partnership group, probably one of the most significant wins in our 25-year history,” said Joe DiDomizio, president & CEO of Hudson Group. “It demonstrates our transition from a company perhaps best known as an excellent newsstand operator to a company at ease with operating international luxury brands.”

The joint venture operating the stores includes Hudson Group Retail LLC along with equity partner Concourse Ventures, Inc. (Dale Cochran, principal), along with ACDBE partners Palazzo Concessions (Simeon Stewart and Michael Washington, principals); The Zaman Group (Karim Zaman, principal); MAJ Collection (Julie Jun, principal); and Arandia Designs (Luis Arandia, principal).
