Lululemon, Arhaus open at Woodfield Mall
Schaumburg, Ill. — Woodfield Mall is celebrating the grand opening of six new retailers this summer, adding to the center’s nearly 300 stores.
New and first-in-market retailers include: Lululemon Athletica, Arhaus, Camille La Vie, Uno de 50, 100% Pure and The White Barn Candle Co. These additions come on the heels of the recently added Garage, Sperry Top-Sider, Silver Jeans and the first-ever Ricky B’s Prime Burger House.
“Boasting more than 300 retail and dining options, Woodfield Mall attracts some of the most popular names in retail,” said David Gott, general manager at Woodfield Mall. “These additions enhance our already popular mix of retail, dining and entertainment options and further establish Woodfield Mall as the premier shopping destination for Chicago area residents and visitors.”
Simon’s Woodfield Mall is anchored by Lord & Taylor; Macy’s; Nordstrom; J.C. Penney and Sears and features Michael Kors; Coach; Apple; White House/Black Market, BOSS Hugo Boss, Anthropologie, Tumi; Lacoste; AIX Armani Exchange and J.Crew. Dining options include Ricky B’s Prim Burger House; Texas de Brazil; The Cheesecake Factory; P.F. Chang’s and Stir Crazy.
X Team partner completes two Texas leases for LA Fitness
Dallas — X Team International partner Venture Commercial Real Estate has completed leases for two LA Fitness locations in Austin and McKinney, Texas.
"As LA Fitness continues to expand its footprint into North and Central Texas, our focus remains on identifying prime locations that will both meet the club’s needs and generate increased foot traffic," said Venture Commercial Partner John Zikos.
In Central Texas, LA Fitness signed a lease for a reverse build-to-suit on a 37,000-sq.-ft. facility that will anchor a new development on the northeast corner of West Slaughter Lane and Manchaca roads in southwest Austin.
LA Fitness also signed a lease in North Texas to build another 37,000-sq.-ft. facility in McKinney, where the club will join anchor tenant Sprouts Farmers Market in the newest phase of the Water Tower Place development, located at the southwest corner of Custer Road and Virginia Parkway.
Construction is expected to begin in the near term on both of the locations.
Mid-America Real Estate arranges sale of Gateway Square
Chicago — Mid-America Real Estate Corporation’s Investment Sales team recently brokered the sale of Gateway Square in Hinsdale (Chicago MSA), Illinois. The 39,710-sq.-ft. center was purchased for $10 million, excluding closing costs and adjustments, by Buffalo Grove, Illinois-based C P Management, LLC.
Gateway Square is located just south of the southeast corner of Ogden Avenue and York Road in Hinsdale, one of the most affluent western suburbs of Chicago. The specialty center features tenants Calico Corners, Kumon, Fox’s on York, Egg Harbor Café, and many more.
The seller was Oak Brook, Illinois-based Inland Real Estate Corporation.
