Maison Birks plans first China store
Montreal – Canadian jewelry retailer Maison Birks is opening its first store in China, located at Xanadu Plaza in the Central Business District of Beijing, in early 2014.
The Maison Birks store in Beijing will be the brand’s first retail location outside North America. The store design was conceived in partnership with Sid Lee, a Montreal-based international design firm. Inspired by Birks’ latest branding and visual platform, the Maison Birks store in Beijing will offer a shopping experience where the brand’s history, which includes the grant of a Royal Warrant to the jeweler in the 1930s by the British royal family, will be leveraged.
Quiznos to expand in UAE
Denver – Quiznos is preparing to expand in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with the recent signature of Royal Bun Cafe as its newest franchisee. Quiznos and Royal Bun Cafe worked together to establish the blueprint for the venture that will bring more than 70 restaurants to the UAE during the next eight years.
Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah will be the first UAE expansion locales, with stores expected to be complete by early 2014. Quiznos recently expanded into Mexico and Russia.

"We are confident the new Quiznos locations will be met with the same success as our other international locations. The Quiznos brand is continually growing and evolving, and this is another step forward as we continue to attract and gain new customers worldwide."
