Marcus & Millichap announces promotion
Philadelphia — Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services said that it has promoted Mark E. Taylor to first VP investments.
Most recently, Taylor held the title of VP investments. He specializes in the sale of retail shopping centers and net-leased property investment real estate.
24 Hour Fitness SuperSport to open in North Hollywood
Los Angeles — X Team International said that Los Angeles-based partner Cypress Retail Group has completed a lease for the first full-service 24 Hour Fitness SuperSport in North Hollywood, Calif.
The 33,000-sq.-ft. space is located in NoHo Commons shopping center. An adaptive reuse of a former grocery store, the center’s space will be the first to feature full amenities such as a full-sized basketball court, circuit training, group cycling and an indoor lap pool. The shopping center is anchored by Wells Fargo and is connected to The Lofts at NoHo Commons apartment homes.
The center is scheduled to open July 23 of this year.
Westwood Financial acquires Stroh Ranch Retail Center
Parker, Colo. — Westwood Financial Corp. said it has acquired the Stroh Ranch Retail Center, a 6,336-sq.-ft. property in Parker, Colo., outside Denver. Westwood Financial bought the distressed asset in a short sale and said it is currently eyeing similar opportunities in this sector.
The two-unit, 1999-built Stroh Ranch Retail Center currently counts Pizza Hut as its only tenant after Blockbuster vacated last year, leaving it 21% leased.
