Marcus & Millichap names National Retail Group appointments

Encino, Calif. — Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services announced a number of appointments within its National Retail Group offices around the country.

Joel M. Dumes has been named director of the firm’s National Retail Group in Cincinnati; Dumes is currently VP investments for the company.

Scott J. Wiles, a seven-year veteran of the company, was named director of the firm’s National Retail Group in Cleveland, and Erin E. Patton is now director of the National Retail Group in Columbus, Ohio.

Michael J. Marks, Evan L. Halkias and Scott A. Niedergang have been named directors of Marcus & Millichap’s National Retail Group in Chicago, and Gino Lollio has been named associate director. Marks, Halkias and Niedergang were formerly associate directors and Lollio was previously a member.

John J. Godwin and Paul E. Kerber have been appointed senior directors in the firm’s National Retail Group in Detroit.

Jones Lang LaSalle names team to expand services in New York

Atlanta — Jones Lang LaSalle announced it has hired Paul Berkman, Craig Slosberg, Davie Berke and Justin Haber in New York. The retail brokers will head the expansion of the firm’s retail tenant representation services in Manhattan.

“Jones Lang LaSalle is committed to boosting its retail capabilities throughout the country, and Paul, Craig, Davie and Justin are the exact fit we need to enhance our New York retail operation,” said Greg Maloney, president and CEO of Jones Lang LaSalle Retail, Atlanta. “With so many national and global retailers competing for Manhattan retail space, it was crucial for us to expand our ability in that arena to serve their needs. Their expertise will also enable us to provide a much broader suite of retail services to building owners throughout the New York region.”

Nationally, Jones Lang LaSalle Retail has a third-party portfolio of nearly 100 million sq. ft. of space and offers services including accounting, development and construction, leasing and specialty leasing services, property management, receivership services and tenant representation services.

Sally Beauty Supply to open at Plantation Point

Raleigh, N.C. — Dallas-based Cypress Equities announced that Sally Beauty Supply will open a 1,354-sq.-ft. location at Plantation Point Shopping Center, located in Raleigh, N.C.

Sally Beauty Supply will be located between Rapid Refill and Dollar Tree at Plantation Point Shopping Center. The store is slated to open in spring 2012.

Plantation Point Shopping Center is a 400,000-sq.-ft. power center developed and managed by a Cypress Equities company and features such tenants as Big Lots!, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Petco, Marshalls, Mattress Warehouse, Family Christian Bookstores, Dollar Tree, Dots, Avenue, On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, Mimi’s Café and Life Time Fitness.
