The Marketplace at Centerra announces new restaurant leases
Loveland, Colo. — McWhinney Enterprises announced that its Marketplace at Centerra power center in Loveland, Colo., will see the addition of Menchie’s and Buffalo Wild Wings this year.
Menchie’s is slated to open a new frozen yogurt shop at the end of May, and Buffalo Wild Wings has begun remodeling a former Black Eye Pea restaurant space with an anticipated opening date of August.
PREIT names retail leasing directors
Philadelphia— Philadelphia-based Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT) announced that it has hired two new directors of retail leasing— Peter Elliott and Amy MacLaren.
Both will be responsible for the leasing of regional malls and retail relationships with key national tenants.
Elliott will direct leasing efforts for Exton Square Mall in Exton, Pa., and The Gallery at Market East in Philadelphia. MacLaren will be responsible for leasing Dartmouth Mall in Dartmouth, Mass., Jacksonville Mall in Jacksonville, N.C., Magnolia Mall in Florence, S.C., and Patrick Henry Mall in Newport News, Va.
Before joining PREIT, Elliott was a senior executive at Charter Realty & Development, Forest City Enterprises, Urban Retail Properties, and Simon Property Group.
MacLaren was a senior executive at Liz Claiborne handling the real estate portfolio for Lucky Brand Jeans. She also spent more than 15 years with General Growth Properties.
Cinema de Lux opens at Ridge Hill
Yonkers, N.Y. — Forest City Enterprises announced that National Amusements’ Cinema de Lux has opened at its Westchester’s Ridge Hill mixed-use development in Yonkers, N.Y.
With 12 state-of-the-art auditoriums and wall-to-wall screens, Cinema de Lux also features the area’s first full-service restaurant, Studio 3. The opening comes just a few months before the first buyers prepare to move into their new homes at Monarch at Ridge Hill, the luxury condominium on Ridge Hill Boulevard.
Monarch at Ridge Hill, consisting of four high-rise towers featuring 500 luxury residences, is within walking distance of 12 blocks of premium retailers, restaurants and grocers, as well as abundant open space.
A mini grand opening, featuring 30 to 40 retailers, is tentatively scheduled for October 20 at Ridge Hill and will include L.L. Bean, Sephora, Orvis, H&M, the Cheesecake Factory, Yard House, Brio Tuscan Grille, and Texas De Brazil.
