Maurices taps PlayNetwork as music agency of record

Redmond, Wash. – PlayNetwork said Tuesday that it has been selected as women’s apparel retailer Maurices’ strategic music agency for all Maurices marketing initiatives.

As music agency of record for Maurices, PlayNetwork will help expand the retailer’s music footprint with their customers through multichannel engagements that include targeted national campaigns, social media features, music festivals, artist and label partnerships, and exclusive original video content.

“We are excited about continuing and strengthening our partnership with PlayNetwork,” said Lisa Bartlett, assistant VP marketing at Maurices. “They understand the Maurices brand and our consumers’ love of music. Working with PlayNetwork to evolve our Hometown Sound campaign into a series of ongoing music campaigns will be instrumental in creating an engaging and relevant experience for our customers.”

Kerr Drug names senior VP store operations

Raleigh, N.C. – Kerr Drug announced Monday it has promoted Mark Gregory to the position of senior VP store operations, effectively immediately.

Gregory, who was previously VP pharmacy and government affairs, will report to president and CEO Anthony Civello.

Caribou Coffee names senior operations exec

Minneapolis – Caribou Coffee Co. said Monday that Leigh Anne Snider is joining the company as its senior VP retail operations, effective immediately.

Snider is charged – together with CEO Mike Tattersfield – driving the coffee company’s overall domestic day-to-day operating activities, including building consistent customer service procedures, driving revenue and effectively managing financials.

Snider joins Caribou from Yum! Brands, where she was the first woman promoted to COO-level within the Yum! system. There, she was charged with growing the concept, brand and operational priorities of the most recently acquired brands in the Yum! Portfolio – Long John Silver’s and A&W Restaurants. After joining the company in 1995, Snider held numerous operational roles, including VP global restaurant excellence charged with managing all domestic operations across Yum!’s family of brands.
