Mothers Work Appoints CEO
Philadelphia Mothers Work announced Monday that Dan Matthias will retire as the company’s CEO on Sept. 30. He will be succeeded by Edward (Ed) Krell, currently COO, effective Oct.1.
Krell has also been appointed to serve as a member of the company’s board of directors. Matthias will continue to serve as a director of the company and serve as non-executive chairman of the board, and will remain available to management in an advisory capacity through September 30, 2012. Founder Rebecca Matthias, the company’s president and chief creative officer, will continue in her current capacity.
CertaPro Appoints Emi Takeda to Project Coordinator
CertaPro Painters Commercial Services, North America’s largest commercial painting contractor, has appointed Emi Takeda to the position of Project Coordinator for the Midwest United States. In her new position, Takeda will work with the estimating team, sales, vendors and each client in her territory, ensuring the timely and smooth completion of CertaPro commercial painting projects.
Takeda will be able to utilize her vast experience in project coordination, sales, service and design to help CertaPro’s commercial clients reduce cost and cycle times on painting projects. Takeda will be coordinating project specifications and scopes while maintaining the high level of customer and contractor satisfaction that CertaPro is known for in the retail, hospitality and restaurant industries.
Takeda is currently completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from York University. She comes to CertaPro Painters from The Home Depot Canada where she served as a kitchen designer and a flooring and decor specialist.
CertaPro Appoints Ryan Christie Project Coordinator
CertaPro Painters Commercial Services, North America’s largest commercial painting contractor, has appointed Ryan Christie to the position of Project Coordinator for the Eastern United States. In his new role at CertaPro, Christie will coordinate all of the professional painting specifications for each project in his territory, working with estimators, sales, suppliers and the client, ensuring the smooth scheduling and completion of CertaPro commercial painting projects.
Christie will work to develop and maintain CertaPro relationships with retail, hospitality and restaurant clients interested in reducing cycle time and costs on commercial painting projects. Christie received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Brock University Ontario, Canada, and is currently working towards his PMP (Project Management Professional) designation.
Prior to joining CertaPro, Christie obtained his Can-Fit-Pro personal-trainer certification and was in a management-trainee program at GoodLife Fitness. Before that, Christie worked at Laborie Medical Technologies, a world leader in the field of Urodynamics.
