NGKF Retail Services names senior managing director
Greenwich, Conn. — Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Retail Services has appointed Jessica Curtis as senior managing director in the Greenwich, Conn., office. Curtis will represent national clients in their expansion plans and work with local entrepreneurial retailers and restaurants ready to grow beyond their current locations.
Curtis brings 12 years of experience to her new responsibilities. Most recently, she served as an associate director at Cushman & Wakefield where she specialized in upscale retail and restaurant leasing in both national and local retail markets.
The Children’s Place to SkyView Center in Queens, N.Y.
Queens, N.Y. — The Children’s Place has leased a 3,799-sq.-ft. space near other child focused retailers at The Shops at SkyView Center in the Flushing neighborhood of Queens, N.Y. The retailer plans to open in May.
The tenant lineup at the 700,000-sq.-ft. mixed-use SkyView Center includes Target, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Marshall’s, Old Navy, adidas, Restoration Hardware, OshKosh B’Gosh, Carter’s, Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, Bob’s Discount Furniture, Little Lamb, Chuck E. Cheese’s and the specialty Asian supermarket Sky Foods. Nordstrom Rack will be opening at the center in fall 2014.
SRS names first VP in Austin, Texas
Dallas – SRS Real Estate Partners welcomes T.J. Powell as first VP in the Austin office. He will focus on tenant and landlord representation.
Powell has four years of commercial real estate experience and joins SRS from Retail Solutions, where he focused on third-party project leasing and tenant representation.
