Nordstrom opens newly relocated store at Americana at Brand
Glendale, Calif. — Nordstrom has unveiled its new, relocated store at Americana at Brand, the Caruso-owned luxury shopping center in Glendale, Calif.
Seattle-based Nordstrom was formerly located at nearby Glendale Galleria, but closed that store to reopen in 135,000 sq. ft. at Americana at Brand, featuring a refreshed interior design over three levels, farm-to-table restaurant Bar Verde, updated beauty experience, and an expanded selection of designer fashion brands including the first TopShop and TopMan in-store boutiques in Los Angeles.
"We’re thrilled to give our Glendale customers a brand new store and thank them for shopping with us for the past 30 years," said Brynn Herthel, Nordstrom Americana at Brand store manager. "When our customers walk through the doors for the first time we hope they’ll love the new store design and enhanced merchandise selection we can now offer them."
Other store amenities include an in-store alterations and tailor shop, certified bra and prosthesis fitters, complimentary gift boxes and a personal shopping service.
Home Depot names CVS exec to board
Atlanta — The Home Depot has appointed CVS executive VP and chief healthcare strategy and marketing officer Helena Foulkes to its board of directors.
Foulkes, 49 will be a member of the Finance and Leadership Development & Compensation Committees.
Dick’s to unveil remodeled store in Cary, N.C.
Pittsburgh — Dick’s Sporting Goods will open its newly renovated store in Cary, N.C., on Sept. 29, featuring 56,000 sq. ft. of specialized services and experiential elements such as a golf simulator, club fitting center, putting green, archery lane with an on-site bow technician, and bike safety inspections, custom fittings, tune-ups and assembly.
"We’re pleased to be opening an expanded and enhanced Dick’s Sporting Goods in Cary, which will enable us to better serve the needs of athletes in the community," said Lauren Hobart, senior VP and chief marketing officer, Dick’s Sporting Goods.
