Pacific Sunwear Names CFO
Anaheim, Calif., Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc. has appointed Michael Henry to serve as senior VP and CFO of the company. Henry had been serving as interim CFO since November 2007.
Henry joined the company in September 2000 as controller. He has served as VP, controller since February 2006.
Best Buy China’s Chairman Resigns
Shanghai, Best Buy Co. said the VP, chairman and general manager of its China division, Weimin Lu, resigned for personal reasons, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Best Buy spokesman Ron Channg denied media reports that Lu’s departure was related to the division’s failure to meet targets.
“Our sales results grow by the day. The fact that we’re going to open our second store in China next week demonstrates our optimism about our prospects in China,” Channg said.
Best Buy is still seeking a successor for Lu.
Cache CEO Resigns
New York City, Cache Inc. said Thursday chairman and CEO Brian Woolf resigned for personal reasons, effective immediately, and will be replaced by president Thomas Reinckens.
Earlier this month, Cache said its December sales were weaker than expected, and lowered fourth-quarter expectations.
