Pandora, Cotton On and Diva open at Glendale Galleria

Glendale, Calif. Chicago-based General Growth Properties announced that Pandora, a Danish jewelry retailer, has opened its first concept store in the Los Angeles area, and has been joined at GGP’s Glendale Galleria by Aussie fashion retailer Cotton On and by jewelry retailer Diva.

Other recent openings at Glendale Galleria include Local Collection, Spencer’s Gifts, Cathy Jean Shoes, Clark’s Shoes, Subway and Kyochon Chicken.

Glendale Galleria is anchored by Nordstrom, Macy’s, J.C. Penney and Target.

Winn-Dixie boosts fuelperks! program

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Winn-Dixie Stores announced that it is tripling its fuelperks! Rewards in its Jacksonville and Panama City markets by adding an additional 10 cents-per-gallon savings on gas for every $50 customers spend on select gift cards.

That means that for every $50 spent on gift cards between now and Christmas Day, customers who use their new Customer Reward Card (CRC) will save 15 cents per gallon on gas at participating stations (up to 20 gallons on a single visit).

 

“This promotion comes at a perfect time for holiday shopping,” said Mary Kellmanson, group vice president of marketing for Winn-Dixie. “Our customers can buy gifts for everyone on their list and save big at the gas pumps at the same time. It’s a win-win for everyone.”

Walmart enchants Boys & Girls Club kids with ‘The Princess and the Frog’

Walmart is offering kids from The Boys & Girls Clubs of America the chance to watch Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog” at private screenings in select cities.

Private parties and film screenings are taking place in Atlanta, Ga., Miami, Fla., Charlotte, N.C., Tampa, Fla., and Birmingham, Ala., and a special pre-opening viewing was held in New Orleans, LA., the setting for the movie. The festivities also include music from the film, photo opportunities with character cut-outs, and special princess activities, Walmart reported.

 

Walmart reported that it will be selling apparel, accessories, books, music, bedding, toys, among other products, inspired by the film. The items will be called out in special “The Princess and the Frog” destinations in most Walmart stores nationwide and on Walmart.com.
