President of Build-A-Bear Workshop to retire

New York — John Haugh announced that he plans to retire as president of Build-A-Bear Workshop Inc., effective July 22, according to a company filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

A successor has not yet been named.

Gordon Brothers names new CEO

Boston –Gordon Brothers Group announced that Gary M. Talarico joined the firm as president and CEO reporting to the Board of Directors. Michael Frieze will assume the role of chairman, board of directors.

Prior to joining Gordon Brothers Group, Talarico he was managing partner of Cora Street Partners, an advisory boutique. From 2004 to 2009, he was a managing director of Sun Capital Partners.

"We look forward to having Gary join our leadership team. His invaluable experience as an investment banker coupled with his international expertise and overall business acumen will enable him to take over the daily management, growth and integration of our various divisions and affiliates,” stated Michael Frieze. “In particular, Gary has an impressive record of successfully building businesses, including the recruitment and retention of top talent, which will help us strengthen our current business portfolio and expand into new areas that complement our businesses and provide additional services to our clients and transaction partners.”

Lululemon athletica to open at Town Center at Boca Raton

Boca Raton, Fla. — Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group announced Monday that lululemon athletica will grand-open a new store at Town Center at Boca Raton on July 22.

This will be the first full retail location for the yoga-inspired athletic apparel company in Boca Raton and will replace lululemon’s showroom previously located at 350 Esplanade. The new store will be located on the first floor in the Palm Court across from Bvlgari. Town Center features such stores as Coach, Tiffany & Co., Bvlgari, Cartier, Ulysse Nardin, Michael Kors, Williams-Sonoma, Intermix, Pottery Barn, Ann Taylor, Louis Vuitton, Origins, Juicy Couture, Godiva Chocolatier, abercrombie, anne fontaine and Brookstone, as well as anchor stores Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and Sears.
