Pret A Manger leases 600 Lexington Avenue shop
New York City — Restaurant chain Pret A Manger has leased a 2,577-sq.-ft. shop at 600 Lexington Avenue, a boutique 36-story office tower on East 52nd Street. The new location will bring the chains Manhattan locations to a total of 39.
RKF (www.rkf.com) represented Pret A Manger and the landlord, SL Green Realty Corp. in the transaction. Over the last two years, RKF has arranged a dozen new leases for the chain.
Mid-America brings four retailers to Chicago MSA centers
Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. — Mid-America Asset Management Inc. has secured four new retail leases on behalf of three lifestyle shopping centers in the Chicago metropolitan area. Mid-America represented the landlord in each transaction.
In Algonquin, Ill., Pure Mountain Company has taken 8,824 sq. ft. at Algonquin Commons in Algonquin, Ill. Premier Commercial Realty represented the tenant. Dick’s Sporting Goods, DSW, Old Navy, PetSmart and Trader Joe’s anchor the 578,825-sq.-ft. Algonquin Commons lifestyle center.
The Dailey Method signed a lease for 2,034 sq. ft. at Orland Park Crossing in Orland Park, Ill. Schramko Real Estate represented the tenant. Owned by Edwards Realty Co., the 48,869-sq.-ft. lifestyle center is anchored by Ann Taylor, Chico’s and White House | Black Market.
At Geneva Commons in Geneva, Ill., Mid-America signed two retailers. Victoria’s secret took 6,500 sq. ft., and Color Me Mine signed for 1,048 sq. ft. The tenants were self-represented. This will be the second storefront at Geneva Commons for Victoria’s Secret; the retailer plans to convert their former store to a stand-alone PINK concept. Anchoring the 437,546-sq.-ft. lifestyle center are Dick’s Sporting Goods, Barnes & Noble, Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn.

Simon and elevate Digital to launch digital concierge network in retail centers
INDIANAPOLIS — Simon, a leading global retail real estate company, has announced a collaboration with elevate Digital, a developer of interactive digital technology, to install "digital concierge" solutions in a number of Simon’s U.S. retail properties.
The interactive displays will provide Simon mall visitors with a virtual way-finding experience to help them navigate the mall, find deals, events, promotions and also take relevant information with them on a mobile device.
In addition, shoppers can engage with the digital concierge app to sign up for news and updates, take and share fun photos, interact with advertising, download mobile apps, RSVP for events and much more.
"Enhancing the shopping experience of our visitors through accessible, easy to use technology is a top priority for Simon," said Mikael Thygesen, chief marketing officer of Simon. "Offering a digital concierge through elevate Digital’s interactive display solution increases the level of service to our customers and seamlessly integrates on-mall and personal technology into their journey of discovery at our centers."
The elevate digital concierge is now live at Simon’s Arundel Mills in Hanover, Maryland, and Simon is planning to implement this technology in 30 U.S. markets by the end of 2014.
