RCS Real Estate announces exec promotion

New York City — RCS Real Estate Advisors announced that Moe Puri has been promoted to VP from assistant VP.

A member of the RCS Real Estate Advisors team since 2008, Puri’s primary responsibilities included re-negotiating leases on behalf of clients. He has since elevated his expertise and, as a VP, is managing several key client real estate portfolios.

Prior to joining RCS Real Estate Advisors, Puri served as a regional director with Bare Escentuals. He has also held managerial roles with Ann Taylor, Brown Shoe and The Custom Shop.

Publix to anchor Boynton Lakes Plaza redevelopment

Boynton Beach, Fla. — Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers announced the addition of Publix Super Market as the new anchor of Boynton Lakes Plaza, a 117,000-sq.-ft. neighborhood center in Boynton Beach, Fla.

Publix is relocating from an undersized 39,000-sq.-ft. store in a nearby center to open a new prototype of 45,600 sq. ft. in late summer 2012.

The store will occupy a former Winn-Dixie site that was closed along with 29 other locations in July 2010.

In addition, the center will undergo a redevelopment including the reconfiguration of the former 56,000-sq.-ft. Winn-Dixie site into anchor and side-shop space, new exterior facade, upgraded architectural components and parking lot improvements. All retailers will remain open during the redevelopment which is scheduled for completion in late summer 2012.

As part of Regency’s greengenuity program for sustainable green building and development practices, the construction will incorporate basic sustainable elements such as recycling building materials, installing heat reflective roof material and employing environmentally friendly plumbing fixtures, paint and coatings.

Guess to open new store in downtown Seattle

Seattle – Guess said Tuesday that it will open a new store in November at Pacific Place shopping center, in downtown Seattle.

The shop will open on level 2 between Club Monaco and bebe and is one of three new store openings within a few months of each other at Pacific Place, which includes Kate Spade New York and Clarks, as well as a major remodel for Victoria’s Secret and the opening of its Pink boutique.

Pacific Place features 50 shops, restaurants and an 11-screen movie theater at Sixth Avenue and Pine Street in downtown Seattle.
