Report: Microsoft set to open store
New York City Microsoft will open the first of its branded retail stores on Oct. 22, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The date is in line with the release of the software giant’s next operating system, Windows 7.
The store, in Scottsdale, Ariz., is expected to showcase PCs and mobile phones running Microsoft software, as well as its own Xbox 360 hardware, in a sleek, futuristic environment.
Kroger c-store brand to expand into Ohio
Cincinnati One of Kroger Co.’s convenience-store chains is entering the Ohio market, according to published reports.
The company is reportedly opening seven Turkey Hill Minit Market locations in the Columbus, Ohio, area. The chain will be acquiring five stores, currently operated by On the Run, reports noted.
Turkey Hill currently has 248 stores in Pennsylvania and one in Indiana.
Chock full o’Nuts leases space near Flatiron Building
New York City MLBKaye International Realty said Wednesday it has arranged a lease for a restaurant in Chelsea (New York City) for Chock full o’Nuts.
The 2,800-sq.-ft. space is located at 25 West 23rd St., near the Flatiron Building. The location was previously occupied by the Comfort Diner.
The grand opening is slated for early December.
