RetailMeNot names eBay exec as VP

Austin, Texas RetailMeNot Inc. has named Michael Jones was named senior VP, retailer and brand solutions. Jones joins RetailMeNot after spending the prior four years serving as VP of merchant development at eBay.

While at eBay, Jones’ responsibilities included sales, business development, merchant relations and operations for eBay’s marketplace business. In his new role at RetailMeNot, he will lead the company’s efforts to deepen its relationships with the largest retailers and brands.

During a 10-year period, Jones served in various senior revenue, operations and business development roles at ChannelAdvisor. Prior to ChannelAdvisor, Jones was VP of product management and marketing for AuctionRover.com, an online auction search engine He also served as a senior product manager for Stingray Software, a provider of object-oriented components for developing Windows applications.

Neustar releases brand insight solution

It allows agencies and brands to use fine grain data to develop “what if” scenarios and test potential marketing mix strategies and opportunities for optimization, have access to de-duplicated first, second and third party data and digital campaign activity to understand the characteristics and attributes of customers and prospects as they move through the sales funnel, create custom data aggregations, and understand the impact of brand exposure on customers.

Asurion launches customer service solution

Nashville, Tenn. – Asurion Retail Solutions has rolled out Solution Hub, an online platform providing consumers transparency and control of the post-purchase service experience. Solution Hub, customizable to reflect retail brands, offers consumers an end-to-end solution for filing claims, scheduling in-home repairs, and choosing the best fulfillment option for certain product categories.

In the market with two of U.S. retailers, Solution Hub delivers services such as real-time scheduling for home repairs from a network of more than 29,000 screened and certified providers, real-time visibility o claim status, choice of replacement devices/reimbursement for products beyond repair in select categories, and single-site access to all Solution Hub services.

Asurion Retail Solutions covers electronics and appliances, including laptops, e-readers, televisions, home theaters, printers, gaming systems, cameras and more. Consumers are protected against drops; spills; cracked screens; damage from dust, heat or humidity; mechanical and electrical failures, and more.
