Interbrand taps Victoria Leavitt as CEO of consumer, retail brand experience
New York — Interbrand, a leading brand consultancy, has named Victoria Leavitt as CEO of consumer & retail brand experience in North America. She will be based in Cincinnati and report directly to Josh Feldmeth, CEO of Interbrand North America.
Leavitt comes to Interbrand after having served as executive VP at Landor. Prior to Landor, she held senior leadership roles in North America, Europe and the Middle East for such firms as Fitch, Siegel + Gale and New Solutions, with a range of clients that included Target, Kimberly-Clark, Sports Authority and P&G. She also held positions at Cordiant Communications. Leavitt began her career at P&G.
Interbrand, which is part of the Omnicom Group Inc. network of agencies, said the hire signals the company’s commitment to building a business focused on the total shopper experience — online, in store, at shelf, in the app, at home, and beyond.
Johnny Rockets in deal to open 100 locations in China
Aliso Viejo, Calif. — Johnny Rockets recently signed the largest development deal in the brand's history, with a plan to open 100 restaurants in China, with the first scheduled to open in 2016.
Johnny Rockets has entered into partnership with a joint venture between AUM Hospitality and Parkson Retail Group Ltd. AUM Hospitality is a multi-brand food and beverage developer and currently works as franchise partner and operator for Johnny Rockets in Malaysia. Parkson Retail Group is a member of a conglomerate based in Malaysia and a department store operator with an extensive network of more than 130 stores, including over 60 in the China market.
The brand has previously launched successful development deals in Asian countries including the Philippines, Malaysia, Korea and Indonesia. Johnny Rockets' first location in China is expected to open in early 2016, with an initial focus on developing the brand in Parkson-owned malls and other top malls and retail areas in Shanghai and Beijing.
