Seattle’s Best opens 10 drive-thru windows in Texas

SEATTLE —Starbucks subsidiary Seattle’s Best Coffee opened 10 new drive-through windows at restaurants throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Items available for drive-through purchase include 12 combo specials priced $5 or less.

“In addition to our 40 years of experience roasting high-quality arabica coffee, we are bringing a delicious breakfast to Dallas,” said Jennifer Dimaris, vice president, brand management, for Seattle’s Best Coffee. “We invite customers to value their mornings with a great cup of coffee and a menu of breakfast sandwiches, all at a price that you’ll come back for every day.”

Rite Aid appoints Bodaken to board of directors

CAMP HILL, Pa. —Bruce G. Bodaken, former chairman, president and CEO of Blue Shield California, been named to the Rite Aid Corporation board of directors. Bodaken, 61, served with Blue Shield for 18 years, including 12 in his most recent role, and currently serves as director and audit committee chairman of WageWorks, Inc. He is also a member of the Institute of Medicine’s Roundtable on Value & Science-Driven Health Care.

“As Rite Aid continues to grow our business and develop new and exciting ways to better serve our customers in a rapidly changing healthcare environment, we expect to benefit greatly from Bruce’s in-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry and his more than 20 years of executive leadership experience,” said Rite Aid Chairman, president and CEO John Standley.
