Simon and Mitsubishi Estate open Shisui Premium Outlets in Japan

Indianapolis — Simon Property Group announced today that, in partnership with Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd., it has opened Shisui Premium Outlets (Shisui Town, Inba District, Chiba Prefecture), the ninth Premium Outlet Center in Japan.

The 234,000-sq.-ft. first phase of the project is 100% leased and opened with 120 stores featuring a mix of international brands, Japanese brands and restaurants. Eight stores are making their outlet debut in Japan at Shisui Premium Outlets including Rebecca Minkoff, Marmot, Hanes, Barnyardstorm and Pierre Marcolini. In addition, Alfredo Bannister and Nike Golf are opening their first independent stores at Shisui Premium Outlets. American brands include: Banana Republic, Billabong, Coach and Michael Kors.

Shisui Premium Outlets is located approximately 40 miles from the center of Tokyo.

"Shisui Premium Outlets is our ninth Premium Outlet Center in Japan," said John R. Klein, president of Simon’s Premium Outlets. "This location is well-suited to serve Japan’s visitor market and complements our other highly productive area centers.

HTC smartphone hits RadioShack shelves

FORT WORTH, Texas — RadioShack has stocked its shelves at locations nationwide with HTC’s most recent flagship smartphone, the HTC One.

To celebrate the launch, RadioShack will give a $50 Google Play credit to anyone who buys the smartphone at one of their participating locations by June 1. Consumers can also take advantage of the company’s Trade & Save Program, which allows them to trade-in their old phones for as much as $300 toward the new phone and accessories, depending on the phone model.

"RadioShack is excited to introduce the new HTC One at store locations across the country. It’s another way we’re offering consumers easy access to the latest mobile phones and plans from the top carriers along with the latest accessories all in one place to fit their budget, make it easy to work or play, and show off their personal style," said Tony Andrews , VP of wireless operations for RadioShack. "In fact, RadioShack is the only place you can pick up the new HTC One and get a $50 Google Play credit plus free mobile product support, all at stores conveniently located in almost every neighborhood in America."

The HTC One, which has 32GB of internal memory, will be available at RadioShack with service from Sprint or AT&T for $199.99 with a qualifying two-year plan and data add on. The smartphone features the HTC Blink Feed, which lets users customize what news and feeds appear on their home screens; HTC UltraPixel Camera with HTC Zoe, HTC BoomSound; and HTC Sense TV, which allows users to use the smartphone as a remote control for most TVs, set-top boxes and receivers.

Google Play credits will be available in-store for AT&T and in-store and online for Sprint and are redeemable for apps, games, music, movies and more.

Showrooming facilitator upgrades app

LOS ANGELES — PriceGrabber, a leading online shopping site, has upgraded its mobile shopping application for iPhone.

The mobile app facilitates comparison shopping so consumers can find the lowest price on millions of products from thousands of online merchants and local stores. Popular shopping categories include digital cameras, TVs, electronics, home goods, computers, clothing and beauty.

"At PriceGrabber, we are dedicated to providing consumers with a comprehensive shopping experience and we are excited to introduce our updated mobile application for iPhone users," said Dominique Jean, chief technology officer at PriceGrabber. "Consumers can take advantage of the enhancements to our iPhone mobile app to effortlessly access millions of products available on PriceGrabber."

Updates to the iPhone app include increased speed for consumers when accessing the PriceGrabber home screen, larger images throughout the entire mobile site, straightforward product pages with added details and features, increased number of product images throughout the shopping site and better defined product searches for amplified results.

"The updated iPhone app really focuses on improved usability," said Tim Fernholtz , mobile product manager at PriceGrabber. "Consumers will be able to find the products they are searching for much easier because of the larger images throughout the app as well as improved product filtering when shoppers conduct research."

Consumers can scan barcodes with the mobile app to find the best price from thousands of retailers, click directly on a merchant’s website to make a purchase and create a favorites list where they can save products for purchase at a later time.

More than 26 million unique shoppers use PriceGrabber on a monthly basis. They showcase 80 million unique products and services across 27 categories with more than 11,000 merchants and sellers on their site.
