Six new retailers to open at Santa Monica Place
Santa Monica, Calif. Macerich announced that six new retailers will join Santa Monica Place, the three-level open-air shopping destination slated to open on August 6, 2010.
The new tenants are Hugo Boss, Juicy Couture, 7 For All Mankind, AllSaints Spitalfields, Eva Varro and Solstice Sunglass Boutique.
In addition to Bloomingdale’s, which selected Santa Monica Place as the site for its first SoHo concept store outside Manhattan, and a new Nordstrom, other retailers signed on for the project include Burberry, Kitson, Nike, CB2, Michael Kors, Ted Baker, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Coach, Ed Hardy, True Religion, Joe’s Jeans, Swarovski, Love Culture, Angl, Bernini, Michael Brandon and Arthur, as well as Artevo, a technology-driven art gallery.
An important element of the new Santa Monica Place is the rooftop Dining Deck, which will offer ocean views and chef-driven restaurants and quick casual-dining options. Already announced restaurants include Zengo and La Sandia, plus Pizza Antica, Ozumo Sushi, and XINO Restaurant + Lounge.
Golfsmith opens largest golf and tennis store in Calif.
Irvine, Calif. Golfsmith International Holdings announced the unveiling of its new 40,000-sq.-ft. playground for golfers and tennis players in Los Angeles and Orange County, Calif.
The new Golfsmith Xtreme in Irvine, Calif., is the largest golf and tennis store in California.
Based on the retailer’s interactive superstore format, Golfsmith Xtreme features an expansive nine-bay indoor driving range with state-of-the-art launch monitors and Certified PGA Pro golf instruction from GolfTEC.
Target to open holiday pop-up shops
Minneapolis Target is opening three Target To-Go temporary stores in New York City, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
The To-Go shops will feature 50 items, including toys, gadgets, home decor, beauty and fashion. Customers order the items by number, which come wrapped and ready for gift giving.
Target To-Go will be open to the public from Dec. 11 to Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
