Staples offers back-to-school price match
Framingham, Mass. – Staples Inc. is offering a new back-to-school 110% price match guarantee. Starting June 29, Staples customers are guaranteed to pay the lowest price every time they shop in store or online. Staples will price match items sold and shipped by Amazon.com or any retailer who sells products in both retail stores and online under the same brand.
Customers will receive an additional 10% off the difference between the Staples price and the competitor price. The back-to-school 110% price match guarantee is valid at the time of purchase in Staples stores and on Staples.com.
Slate Retail REIT buys North Carolina shopping center
Toronto – Slate Retail REIT has entered into a binding agreement to purchase North Summit Square, a 99% occupied, 224,530-sq.-ft. grocery-anchored shopping center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, for $15.8 million. The property is anchored by Sam’s Club.
"We are very excited to announce our first acquisition since listing on the TSX," said Blair Welch, CEO of Slate Retail. "We see several further opportunities to make accretive acquisitions of grocery-anchored centers in attractive markets."
Domino’s launches social pizza giveaway
Ann Arbor, Mich. – Domino’s Pizza is partnering with gamification provider Quikly to give one customer free pizza for a year. Consumers can register for the Fan Perks giveaway beginning June 24, and participate in the giveaway that will take place at a time designed to surprise Domino’s customers.
To join in the giveaway, customers can visit Domino’s Facebook or Twitter page and click on the link to register for the giveaway through the time the giveaway begins. Once the giveaway begins, customers who have registered will receive a text message or email (depending on the notification method they select during registration) with a link to the giveaway site. The faster customers click through to claim their reward, the better their reward will be. The fastest person will be rewarded with free pizza for a year (in the form of $500 in Domino’s gift cards). In addition, Domino’s will award more than $100,000 in e-gift cards to 50,000 other consumers who click through to claim their rewards.
Customers can share details of the giveaway with their friends through Facebook, Twitter and email for a chance to receive a "heads up" notice of when the Quikly offering will go live. The "heads up" notice will be awarded to those customers whose friends also register for the giveaway.
