Stirling to develop Walgreens in Gulfport, Miss.
Covington, La. — Stirling Properties has announced it will develop a new full-service Walgreens drugstore in Gulfport, Miss.
The proposed Walgreens will be located on a former Gulfmart Shopping Center site. Stirling Properties is providing development services, including lease negotiation, financing, and project management, to a third party owner of the property.
The 13,650-sq.-ft. store will have a drive-thru window and full service pharmacy and will serve as a catalyst for future retail development of that corridor. The Gulfport store is slated to begin construction in January and open in third quarter 2013.
Longhorn Steakhouse among four new La Palmera tenants
Corpus Christi, Texas — IMI and Trademark Property Group announced that its La Palmera mall in Corpus Christi, Texas, will be joined by a 6,5000-sq.-ft. Longhorn Steakhouse in 2013, along with Papaya, which opened 6,350-sq.-ft. store, and Flip Flop Shops. Pandora will open a 1,703-sq.-ft. store before the holidays.
La Palmera is a 1-million-sq.-ft. super-regional mall featuring Dillard’s, J.C. Penney, Macy’s, P.F. Chang’s and Coach.
Walmart Neighborhood Market opens at Esplanade Shopping Center
Oxnard, Calif. — Brixmor Property Group announced the grand opening on November 14 of a 32,906-sq.-ft. Walmart Neighborhood Market at Esplanade Shopping Center, located in Oxnard, Calif.
Walmart Neighborhood Market will be celebrating its opening only weeks following the grand opening of another new retailer at Esplanade Shopping Center, Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Esplanade Shopping Center, which is owned by New York City-based Brixmor, is anchored by The Home Depot, TJ Maxx, Nordstrom Rack, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Cost Plus, Tilly’s, Staples, Ulta, Golfsmith, LA Fitness and more.
