Survey: L.L. Bean tops in online customer service for May

New York – L.L. Bean had the overall best customer service performance in May, the second time the retailer has topped the list in the past three months. According to monthly benchmark analysis from customer service analysis provider StellaService, L.L. Bean’s performance was strong in nearly every area — fourth in phone, sixth in email, eighth in chat and fourth in returns/refunds.

Companies that have ranked in the overall Top 25 every month since January include: Fab, J.Crew, L.L. Bean, Net-A-Porter, Ralph Lauren, Shopbop and Zappos. Looking at all companies included in Stella Benchmarks, the following companies were best overall performers within the five service areas measured:

• Phone: Bodybuilding.com & Lululemon (tied)
• Email: Lululemon
• Chat: Bodybuilding.com
• Shipping: Hautelook
• Returns/Refunds: Mr Porter

Reflexis names Infor exec as VP of sales

Dedham, Mass. – Reflexis Systems Inc. today announced the appointment of Brett Friedman as senior VP of global sales and marketing. He will be responsible for expanding the Reflexis global sales team and building upon the company’s growth.

Friedman brings 15 years of sales and marketing experience and joins Reflexis from Infor, where he had global revenue responsibility for supply chain and PLM solutions. Prior to Infor, he was senior VP of global sales at Allegro Development and has also held leadership positions at SAP and i2 Technologies.

“Brett Friedman further strengthens our executive team, all of whom have more than 25 years of experience in deploying software solutions for some of the world’s most demanding customers,” said Prashanth Palakurthi, founder and CEO of Reflexis. “He has a demonstrable track record of driving revenues in multiple industries and leading from the front.”

CVS, Walgreens recognized for healthy work environment

Washington, D.C. – CVS Caremark and Walgreens have both been honored by the National Business Group on Health, a non-profit association of large U.S. employers, for promoting a healthy work environment and encouraging employees and their families to maintain healthy lifestyles. CVS Caremark received a Gold Award for its WellRewards employee wellness program, while Walgreens received a gold award for its “You and Walgreens” company wellness program.

This marks the sixth year CVS Caremark has received an award for its employee health-and-wellness initiatives and second year for Walgreens. CVS Caremark’s WellRewards program offers services such as preventive screenings, flu shots, smoking cessation, weight management, health coaching, health management for chronic and rare conditions, EAP life services, and maternity management. “You and Walgreens” provides access to a variety of health-and-wellness resources, including free health testing, wellness programs, personal health coaches, tobacco-free program, fitness center, weight-management programs, and on-site Healthy Living Centers.
