Sweet! Hollywood, at the Hollywood & Highland Center, in Hollywood, Calif., is sure to appeal to anyone in need of a sugar rush. The candy megastore features more than 200 types of gummy candies, 140 flavors of chewing gum, 250 types of lollipops, 300 different chocolate bars and more.
Designed by Richard Altuna, the 30,000-sq.-ft. store is fashioned as a one-of-a-kind retail entertainment experience, with 12 themed boutiques. Shoppers can create custom chocolate bars in the Chocolate Lab, witness candy art shows, check out the tasting machines, and play interactive games. And just for fun, there is a musical staircase.
Sweet! Hollywood plans to expand internationally in the coming years.
Kohl’s supports women’s health with new athletic collection
MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. — Kohl’s has unveiled a line of athletic apparel and accessories called Tek Gear, from the Kohl’s Cares cause merchandise program, and 100% of the net profit will go to support the fight against breast cancer.
“We are thrilled to share our new Kohl’s Cares Tek Gear collection with customers this fall,” said Michelle Gass, Kohl’s chief customer officer. “The pieces feature everything needed to enjoy an active and stylish lifestyle at an incredible value. Customers will also feel good knowing that 100% of the net profit is going to support the fight against breast cancer.”
Available for $5, $10 and $15 apiece, the collection features a variety of colorful tanks, tees, shorts, leggings, fleece pullovers and accessories. Items are available now through Nov. 3 and can be found in all 40 Wisconsin stores and online at Kohls.com. Click here to see the collection.

Weight Watchers appoints new HR chief
NEW YORK — Weight Watchers International has named Ann Hollins as the company’s chief human resources officer. Hollins will report to president and CEO Jim Chambers and will serve as a member of the Weight Watchers executive committee.
Hollins replaces Meredith Shepherd, who left the company in May after 11 years.
"As a seasoned HR leader with a deep background in strategy, Ann brings the right combination of strategic business partner mindset, broad HR experience and demonstrated team-building skills," said Chambers. "As we transform our organization to meet the challenges and capitalize on the opportunities before us, Ann’s capabilities in talent planning and organizational development will be invaluable. She will lead our efforts to re-shape our culture to one of empowered decision-making, action and accountability across all levels."
Hollins has more than 20 years of experience across a broad range of industries, including retail, energy, beverage and manufacturing. Most recently, she spent seven years at Hess Corporation, a leading global energy company, where she held leadership positions in multiple human resources functional areas, including her most recent role as VP, global chief diversity and inclusion officer. Before assuming that position, she was the VP, global chief learning and development officer and VP, human resources for the marketing and refining division. Prior to Hess, Hollins held senior roles at Tyco International, D&B Corporation and PepsiCo.
