TCBY expands to two CNL Crosland centers
Charlotte, N.C. — CNL Crosland Commercial Real Estate announced the upcoming opening of The Country’s Best Yogurt (TCBY) at two Charlotte N.C. shopping centers – Town Center Plaza (2,100 sq. ft.) and Quail Corners (1,700 sq. ft.).
The stores will open their doors this winter.
TCBY has six self-serve stores in the Charlotte area, all owned by Samuel Batt. The Quail Corners’ location represents the first tenant announcement for the under-redevelopment center, which is anchored by Harris Teeter and Rite Aid.
Town Center Plaza completed a $7 million renovation in 2005, and is anchored by an expanded Harris Teeter.
Marcus & Millichap announces promotion
Atlanta — Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services said it has promoted James C. “Chris” Rea to senior VP investments.
Rea began his career with Marcus & Millichap in September 1995, specializing in the sale of retail properties. Most recently, he held the position of first VP investments.
Saks Off 5th to open at Village Square of Northbrook
Northbrook, Ill. — Oakbrook, Ill.-based Mid-America Asset Management said that Saks has signed a lease for 25,900 sq. ft. at Village Square of Northbrook in Northbrook, Ill., to open its third Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th store in Chicagoland.
The store, which will unveil a new design, is slated to open in November.
Mid-America is the exclusive leasing representative for the 334,995-sq.-ft. shopping center located on Chicago’s North Shore.
“Our new location in Northbrook will be the first store in Chicago to showcase an innovative new store design using a modern ‘luxury in a loft environment,’ said Robert Wallstrom, president of Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th.
The two stores currently open in Chicagoland are located at Woodfield Green Shopping Center in Schaumburg, and at Gurnee Mills in Gurnee.
