Trademark Property hired to lease, manage Shops of Saddle Creek
Fort Worth, Texas — Trademark Property Co. announced Monday that it has been engaged by an institutional owner to lease and manage the Shops at Saddle Creek, a 148,000-sq.-ft. lifestyle center in Germantown, Tenn.
Trademark will also be evaluating the feasibility of a major expansion on adjacent land controlled by Saddle Creek’s owner.
Saddle Creek is located in the city of Germantown, the Memphis area’s most affluent suburb. Open since 1987, Saddle Creek is widely regarded to be the first lifestyle center developed in the United States.
The center is home to Apple, Anthropologie, Coach, Banana Republic, Chico’s, Ann Taylor and J Crew, among others.
Fresco World Market to open at Eastridge Mall
San Jose, Calif. — Chicago-based General Growth Properties announced that Fresco World Market is slated to open at Eastridge Mall, located in Santa Clara County, Calif., by September.
Fresco will take over a former Circuit City building and will feature the largest produce and seafood departments in the county and the Bay area.
A GGP property, Eastridge Mall is anchored by J.C. Penney, Macy’s, Sears, Barnes & Noble, Bed Bath & Beyond, Sports Chalet and AMC Theatres.
Children’s Place to make regional debut at Gadsden Mall
Gadsden, Ala. — Philadelphia-based Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust said that The Children’s Place is set to open a new location at Gadsden Mall in May.
The nearly 3,000-sq.-ft. retailer will be located next to Kay Jewelers, and will be the retailer’s first in the region.
The upcoming addition of The Children’s Place, along with the recent opening of KOBE Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar, is part of a wave of activity for Gadsden Mall, from the relocation of existing stores such as maurices and Nail Studio to the addition of national retailers including JoS. A. Bank, which will open late this summer.
