Transwestern acquires Richards Barry Joyce & Partners

Houston — Transwestern’s Houston headquarters today announced that it is acquiring Richards Barry Joyce & Partners, a full-service real estate firm based in Boston. It will become Transwestern’s 34th U.S. office.

Established in 2001, RBJ has been named “Small Business of the Year” by the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. The Boston Business Journal has named the firm on of the “Best Places to Work” multiple times. RBJ will begin operating as Transwestern RBJ on November 1, 2013. Terms of the deal are not being disclosed.

Smart & Final Extra! Signs into San Dimas Plaza

San DiegoBrixmor Property Group has leased approximately 45,000 sq. ft. to Smart & Final Extra! at Brixmor’s San Dimas Plaza in San Dimas, Calif. The supermarket/warehouse store will take over the space formerly occupied by Ralphs. NAI Capital represented Smart & Final.

T.J. Maxx anchors the 119,157-sq.-ft. San Dimas Plaza alongside national retailers Rite Aid, Payless ShoeSource, Sprint and RadioShack.

Cobbs Ford Village adds three tenants

Prattville, Ala. — Cobbs For Village, a 2.52-acre inline shopping center currently under construction in Prattville, Ala. is adding three tenants to its lineup.

Smashburger, Gigi’s Cupcakes and Chipotle Mexican Grill have signed leases with GBT Realty Corp. and will take up residence when the center opens next spring.

The new tenants join previously announced Starbucks Coffee, Aspen Dental and Firehouse Subs. GBT Realty is currently in lease negotiations for two of the four remaining available spaces.
