Tri-Land announces six new tenants at Indiana and Kansas City centers

Westchester, Ill. — Tri-Land Properties announced that Dr. Holly Xu, Fashionista Exchange, Jimmy John’s, Lee Lee Nails, Party Time Liquor and Pride Cleaners have joined the company’s projects throughout Indiana and Kansas City.

Lee Lee Nails will open a 1,200-sq.-ft. salon at Century Plaza, a 300,592-sq.-ft. community center in Merrillville, Ind.

Dr. Holly Xu will open a 976-sq.-ft. dentist office, Fashionista Exchange will open a 1,270-sq.-ft. women’s resale boutique, and Pride Cleaners will open a 1,202-sq.-ft. location at Cherokee South Plaza, in Overland Park, Kan.

At Devonshire Village, a 50,000-sq.-ft. center in Olathe, Kan., Party Time Liquor will open a 2,313-sq.-ft. liquor and beverage store. At 10 Quivira Plaza, an 180,000-sq.-ft. shopping center in Shawnee, Kan., Jimmy John’s will open a 1,830-sq.-ft. gourmet sandwich restaurant.

Jones Lang LaSalle to lease and manage Kirkwood Mall

Bismarck, N.D. — Chicago-based Jones Lang LaSalle announced that it has been named as the new property and leasing manager for Kirkwood Mall, an 845,000-sq.-ft. enclosed mall in Bismarck, N.D., by an affiliate of Radiant Partners that recently purchased the mall from Metropolitan Life Insurance Co.

Kirkwood Mall was built in 1970 and contains 80 shops, anchored by Herberger’s, I. Keating Furniture World, J.C. Penney, Scheels and Target.

Opus Development names retail development exec

Minneapolis — Opus Development Corp. announced that John Gelderman has been hired as senior VP national retail development.

In his new position, Gelderman will lead the current Opus retail team, oversee all existing retail development and will be responsible for seeking all new retail development opportunities across the country.

He has worked with Pepsico – Taco Bell, Caribou Coffee, CSM Corp., Opus Northwest, L.L.C., and is currently with his own consulting firm, JFG Retail Real Estate Advisors, where he has worked with a number of retail clients and is just finishing development on the Frogtown Square mixed-use retail and apartment project located in St. Paul.
