United Supermarkets to unveil new, Texas-inspired store design
Snyder, Texas — United Supermarkets’ store in Snyder, Texas, is set to unveil a fresh new look along with added services resulting from a store remodeling effort now under way. Snyder will be the first store to receive the new décor – as well as the new United logo.
“We are excited about the new look we are introducing this year for our United brand, and we are thrilled to be rolling it out first in our Snyder store,” Monica Schierbaum, senior director of marketing for United Supermarkets.

The most noticeable change to the new logo is the addition of a single star at the center, emblematic of the Lone Star State. “We are a Texas company, and we’ve always been inspired by the spirit, independence and self-sufficiency of Texans,” Schierbaum said.
Texas references will be evident throughout the Snyder store following completion of the remodeling effort, which also will include the addition of a mural in the entrance featuring images of the Snyder community.
The most striking feature will be a stylized tree, which will be suspended over the produce department.
“The tree will be the store landmark – a gathering place for our guests,” Schierbaum added.
The décor package also will include all new graphics and signage throughout the store.
Hudson Group to open 19 stores at new LAX terminal
East Rutherford, N.J. — The Hudson Group is opening 19 new stores at the soon-to-open Tom Bradley International Terminal at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The stores include Bulgari, Emporio Armani, Michael Kors, Coach, Hugo Boss, Bliss, Victoria’s Secret, Tumi, Fred Segak, Kitson, Travel & Leisure, See’s Candies, Virgin/Boost, Pinkberry, Entertainment Weekly News, CNN Newsstand Los Angeles, Angeleno, and Hudson.

Natural Grocers opens in Tulsa
Denver — Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage said Thursday it is opening its second Oklahoma location – in Tulsa – on June 25. The newest store joins an existing location in Norman.
The Tulsa Natural Grocers continues the organic supermarket’s commitment to the environment, incorporating green features such as energy-efficient motion light sensors, 100% post-consumer content tiles, high efficiency heat-exchange systems, polished concrete flooring and commercial-grade LED lights.
Natural Grocers has also kicked off a campaign to help victims of the recent Oklahoma tornadoes and Colorado wildfires. Natural Grocers will be matching donations made at any of its 68 Natural Grocers locations beginning June 22 through June 29. All funds raised, plus matching funds up to $25,000, will be divided between the OKStrong Disaster Relief Fund and the Colorado Red Cross to benefit victims of the recent tornadoes and the wildfires, said the company.
