USM Welcomes Hauer to Business Development Team
USM, a national leader in facilities maintenance and management services, has hired industry veteran Jillian Hauer as their new business development executive for their technical service line. Hauer brings 18 years of HVAC and EMS experience and one year of experience in the lighting industry to the company. She has a broad background of working with national retail companies, education facilities, and commercial and industrial clients.
Hauer will be responsible for developing business throughout the United States for USM’s technical services, which include HVAC/R, electrical and lighting, roofing, repair and maintenance
Miller Zell Announces New Executive VP, Consumer Products
Miller Zell is pleased to announce that Steven Skinner has joined the company as executive VP of consumer products. In his new role, Skinner will lead the sales and marketing effort in Miller Zell’s Consumer Products division, which has experienced double-digit growth over the last year.
Skinner has been a strategic leader in some of the world’s best-known companies, including The Home Depot, Accenture and IBM. Most recently as general manager of Microsoft’s Worldwide Industry Solutions Management team, he was responsible for developing the team’s marketing and partner strategies, industry-analyst engagement and managing the solution offering lifecycle from introduction to retirement.
Prior to joining Microsoft, he served as interim president of Home Depot Direct while simultaneously leading the division’s Customer Relationship Management organization. During his tenure at Accenture, Skinner was a retail-strategy partner focused on corporate strategy, marketing strategy, joint ventures and international business development with companies such as Benetton (Italy), McDonald’s, Mothercare (UK), Best Buy and Federated.
A graduate of the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis and a former commander in the U.S. Navy Reserves, Skinner has extensive leadership experience that will contribute directly to the continued success of Miller Zell’s CPG group. He is also a graduate of the University of Chicago with an MBA in Economics, Marketing and Strategy.
Coke, Pinnacle Chiefs Elected to GMA Board of Directors
The Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) recently announced that Muhtar Kent, president and CEO, The Coca-Cola Co., and Jeffrey P. Ansell, CEO, Pinnacle Foods Group LLC, were elected to its board of directors at its annual meeting. Six new member companies were also welcomed to the association.
Kent joined The Coca-Cola Co. in Atlanta in 1978 and served the company in a number of marketing and operations roles around the globe. He was appointed president and COO in late 2006 before succeeding Neville Isdell as CEO in July of this year. Ansell is a 25 year veteran of The Procter & Gamble Co., where most recently he headed its global pet health and nutrition business. In July 2006, Ansell was named CEO of Pinnacle Foods.
The GMA Board also added a diverse cross-section of companies to its ranks by approving the membership applications of: The Kroger Co., Kerry Ingredients & Flavours, Ruiz Foods, 3M Medical Division, Bridge Strategy Group LLC and TraceGains, Inc.
