Vince Camuto selects Island Pacific enterprise suite

Greenwich, Conn. – Women’s lifestyle brand Vince Camuto will deploy Island Pacific SmartSuite solutions in all Vince Camuto retail stores. Island Pacific’s SmartRetail core merchandising application, part of the Island Pacific SmartSuite of solutions for specialty retailers, will provide Vince Camuto parent company Camuto Group with an integrated end-to-end solution for the company’s headquarters and retail stores.

“Following a rigorous and detailed evaluation of five vendors, we selected Island Pacific SmartSuite as it provides us with a very robust and comprehensive end-to-end solution to support our growth,” said Robert Forte, senior VP, IT, Camuto Group. “It has rich functional applications which will enable us to strategically manage all aspects of our business under the Vince Camuto brand. This is a strategic investment for us as we plan to grow the business significantly over the next few years."

Simon partners with Glamour and GQ for omnichannel promo

Indianapolis – Simon is launching Lookbook Live, a joint fall fashion program spanning print, digital, social media, and live events in collaboration with Glamour and GQ magazines. Kicking off in Glamour’s and GQ’s September issues with a nine-page custom-shot Simon Lookbook insert, the program extends online with significant presence on Glamour’s and GQ‘s digital properties, including his-and-hers videos, which provide an in-depth look into how to wear fall’s trends.

The program’s social component encourages readers to send a photo of their favorite fall looks using the hashtags #foundatsimon and #gqglamourcontestentry for the opportunity to win a $2,500 shopping spree at a Simon center.

Starting in September, the Lookbook Live Event Series will bring the program’s print and digital assets to 11 Simon centers across the U.S. This interactive trend showcase, hosted by style pros from Glamour and GQ, will offer personal one-on-one styling sessions, beauty how-to lessons, social media challenges and giveaways.

Poshmark launches social merchandising engine

Menlo Park, Calif. – Women’s online shopping marketplace Poshmark is launching PoshMatch, a social merchandising engine that combines community curation and algorithmic technology to match shoppers to merchandise based on their social activity in the app. With PoshMatch, each shopper is greeted with their own real-time storefront built from their personal fashion shopping network and their style preferences.

The social merchandising engine constantly learns from the shopper to match them with new closets, merchandise and stylists. A new "Shop My Shares" tab allows users to browse and shop the items customers are personally styling from other closets. A dynamic, personalized shopping feed constantly updates to reflect what shoppers and their networks are styling, following and liking, alongside items that match the user’s unique style graph

Other features include real-time price drop notifications, real-time matching of social follows to brand preferences, and an "About Me" section in user profiles that showcases their changing brand affinities based on their style graph.

"The future of shopping is being built around social networks that foster relationships beyond buying and selling, where women have a platform to express their individual style, browse and help each other discover fashion together," said Manish Chandra, CEO and founder of Poshmark. "By measuring shoppers’ preferences in real time and connecting them to fashion they desire and women just like them, Poshmark is building the social shopping destination of the future for millions of women across the country."

Poshmark’s PoshMatch is now available within the latest update to the app and available to download for iOS. Poshmark plans to upgrade its Android App and its website with the new PoshMatch features in the near future.
