Wayfair.com launches Inspiration Gallery
Boston – Online home furnishings retailer Wayfair.com is launching Inspiration Gallery, a collection of interior design photography that is integrated with the company’s product selection to enable one-stop shopping. Currently in beta, Inspiration Gallery features photos with individual elements that automatically link to online product listings.
“We believe the Inspiration Gallery will transform the way people shop for their homes as they discover how easy it can be to achieve the home decorating looks they love, all in one place,” said Niraj Shah, CEO and co-founder of Wayfair.com.
Wayfair.com says it plans to offer thousands more design images and enhanced features in the Inspiration Gallery within the next few months.
QVC names El-Rafey senior VP talent management
West Chester, Pa. — QVC has named Mustafa El-Rafey to the position of senior VP talent management and rewards. In this role El-Rafey will report to Beth Rubino, executive VP of HR and workplace services, and will lead the development and implementation of a talent management and rewards strategy for QVC. Specifically, he will focus on attracting and retaining key talent, promoting development, performance and accountability, building leadership capabilities, and supporting careers.
Previously, El-Rafey served at Starbucks Coffee Company, where he spent two years as senior VP of talent management, responsible for creating an integrated talent management strategy. He also spent 20 years in various executive positions at Mars Inc.
"As QVC continues to expand into new global markets, Mustafa’s experience in building and implementing talent management strategies internationally across large, complex businesses makes him a tremendous asset to our team," said Rubino. Colgate teams up with Stacy Keibler for Make-A-Wish
NEW YORK — To mark the launch of Colgate Total Advanced Pro-Shield Mouthwash, Colgate will team up with actress and television host Stacy Keibler to try to break the Guinness World Record for most people using mouthwash simultaneously, currently at 1,061.
Called "A Wish for a Swish," the event will be held at noon EDT Tuesday, June 25 in New York City’s Times Square.
Colgate will also donate $1 to Make-A-Wish for every participant in attendance and for every "post-swish" smile uploaded to the Colgate Facebook page from now until July 1, with a minimum donation of $50,000 and a maximum of $60,000.
