Whole Foods leases space at The Summit in Lexington, Ky.
Birmingham, Ala. — Whole Foods Market has signed a lease for 40,000 sq. ft. at The Summit in Lexington, Ky. Currently under development by Bayer Properties LLC, The Summit Lexington is a mixed-use project with 450,000 sq. ft. of retail and restaurants plus 306 multi-family residential units.
Phase I of the project will open during the spring of 2016 with 340,000 sq. ft. of retail and the full complement of the planned 306 residential units. Phase II will add 110,000 sq. ft. of retail.
Bayer Properties LLC specializes in developing, leasing, managing and marketing mixed-use real estate properties nationwide. The company currently owns or operates retail and office properties totaling approximately 10 million sq. ft., such as The Summit in Birmingham, Ala., Mount Pleasant Town Centre in Mount Pleasant, S.C., Front Range Village in Fort Collins, Colo. and The Summit in Reno, Nev. New developments include The Pizitz Building urban revitalization project in Birmingham, Ala., and The Summit Lexington, a mixed-use project in Lexington, Ky.
Pottery Barn inks deal with Nashville center
Nashville, Tenn. — Pottery Barn has leased 12,684 sq. ft. in Hill Center Green Hills, a 220,000-sq.-ft. mixed-use open-air lifestyle center in Nashville, Tenn. The lease is with Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn’s parent company.
Owner and developer H.G. Hill Realty Co., plans to begin redeveloping Hill Center Green Hills early in 2015. Pottery Bar expects to begin its build-out in the fall of 2015.
Anthropologie and Whole Foods anchor Hill Center’s retail component. The tenant lineup includes Calypso St. Barth, lululemon athletica, Vera Bradley, Vineyard Vines, West Elm, and more. Locally owned boutiques catering to women, men and children include Billy Reid, Bink’s Outfitters, Cosmetic Market, H. Audrey and Snap Kids. Dining options include California Pizza Kitchen, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Pei Wei, Sweet Cece’s Frozen Yogurt and Zoës Kitchen.
Cinemark Movie Bistro to Rayzor Ranch in Denton, Texas
Phoenix — An eight-screen Cinemark Movie Bistro will open at Rayzor Ranch Town Center, a new open-air retail and entertainment destination set to break ground later this year in Denton, Texas.
The state-of-the-art cinema will join a 126,000-sq.-ft. Dillard’s in anchoring Rayzor Ranch. Both are planning grand openings for summer 2015.
