Wingstop to open 15 new locations in Atlanta
Richardson, Texas — Restaurant chain Wingstop said it has executed development agreements with franchise operators to open 15 new Wingstops in the Atlanta market.
Three development agreements, including an 11-store deal with Tomahawk Brands LLC, will allow the Texas restaurant chain to expand its Atlanta presence from two locations to 17. The first unit under the new agreements is slated to open in early 2012.
Wingstop is owned by Atlanta-based Roark Capital Group. It currently operates about 485 restaurants across the United States and Mexico.
Jones Lang LaSalle adds Mexico services
Mexico City — Chicago- and Atlanta-based Jones Lang LaSalle announced a major expansion of the firm’s full-service operations in Mexico with the addition of retail services.
The firm said it has hired Luis Llaca to focus on a wide range of retail services across Mexico, reporting to Pedro Azcue, CEO of Jones Lang LaSalle Mexico.
Luis was previously VP of retail operations in Mexico for CB Richard Ellis.
Unleashed by Petco to open at Snell & Branham Plaza
San Jose, Calif. — Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased retail space in San Jose, Calif., to a new concept by Petco at Snell & Branham Plaza.
Specializing as a smaller neighborhood Petco store with pet supplies, products and pet food, Unleashed by Petco has leased 4,467 sq. ft. of space. The business is slated to open in fall 2011, bringing the center to 97% leased.
The 99,349-sq.-ft. center is anchored by a 52,550-sq.-ft. Safeway and includes national retailers such as Subway, Great Clips, GameStop and Baskin Robbins.
