Woolbright names property manager
Boca Raton, Fla. — Woolbright Development announced that James R. Hurlock, Jr. has been named the property manager for its Palm Beach County properties.
Hurlock will be the liaison between the company and tenants and will be responsible for the overall maintenance and management of the shopping centers. He was previously was the director of property management for American Commercial Realty in West Palm Beach.
Regency opens three new developments in Colorado and North Carolina
Jacksonville, Fla. — Regency Centers announced that it has opened three new grocery-anchored shopping centers totaling 263,000 sq. ft. over a 30-day period.
The centers — Market at Colonnade in Raleigh, N.C., Harris Crossing in Wake Forest, N.C. and NorthGate Village in Greeley, Colo. – represent a combined investment of $41 million.
Market at Colonnade is a 57,503-sq.-ft. neighborhood center anchored by Whole Foods Market and includes 17,503 sq .ft. of additional retail space. Whole Foods Market opened March 16.
In keeping with Regency’s greengenuity program, Market at Colonnade sets a new standard for environmentally responsible development as the first retail project in the Triangle designed and constructed to meet the LEED Core and Shell standards established by the U.S. Green Building Council. Also, Regency partnered with the City of Raleigh and NC State University on an innovative storm water management system recognized by the North Carolina Clean Water Management Trust Fund.
Additionally, Whole Foods Market designed and constructed its store interior to meet the USGBC certification for LEED v2.0 Commercial Interiors, and partnered with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory as part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Commercial Building Partnerships, an effort to dramatically reduce energy use in both new construction and existing commercial buildings using cost-effective strategies.
Just 16 miles northeast of Market at Colonnade, Harris Crossing, a 65,150-sq.-ft. neighborhood center, is anchored by Harris Teeter, which opened a 53,282-sq.-ft. store on Feb. 23.
NorthGate Village is a 139,912-sq.-ft. neighborhood center, anchored by a 120,536-sq.-ft. King Soopers. This location is the first Marketplace super center for the grocer and the largest King Soopers in the state. NorthGate Village opened Feb. 23.
The three centers are part of Regency’s 29 in-process projects located in 13 states nationwide.
Advance Auto to open at Shoal Creek Mall
Cambridge, Md. — Tarrytown, N.Y.-based DLC Management Corp. announced that Advance Auto will open an 8,125-sq.-ft. store at Shoal Creek Mall in Cambridge, Md.
The retailer, which signed a 10-year with DLC, will join a newly opened Walgreens anchor at the 67,248-sq.-ft. shopping center.
Advance Auto is slated to open this fall.
