Build-A-Bear Workshop has gone pro.

The specialty retailer has opened in the “fan engagement zone” at Hall of Fame Village, a new sports, and entertainment destination that surrounds the Pro Football Hall of Fame, in Canton, Ohio.

The new Build-A-Bear combines the retailer’s signature experience with football-inspired graphics and fun, football-themed photo opportunities. In addition to Build-A-Bear’s assortment of furry friends, accessories and products, the store also offers an expansive selection of professional and college football merchandise for a wide assortment of plush bears.

The Canton location is one of approximately 20 stores that Build-A-Bear previously announced it planned to open in fiscal 2022 through a combination of its corporately-managed and third-party retail models.

"We're so excited to bring the fun of Build-A-Bear and be part of this incredible sports and entertainment destination centered around the love of football," said Chris Hurt, chief operations and experience officer. "For the past 25 years, the Build-A-Bear experience has had the power to add a little more heart to life in a unique way, and we are so excited to provide a full fan experience at this location."

"Sports entertainment extends well beyond the playing field and we're proud to bring one of the most iconic interactive brands in Build-A-Bear to our campus along with a unique sports twist to its beloved family-centric workshop experience," said Mike Levy, president of operations, Hall of Fame Village.

As of July 30, 2022, Build-A-Bear had 346 corporately-managed stores. Through the Company’s third-party retail business model, there were 65 locations with relationships that include Carnival Cruise Lines, Great Wolf Lodge Resorts, Landry’s and Beaches Family Resorts.

The company’s international franchisees operated 62 locations at the end of the fiscal 2022 second quarter.
