Burlington plans to open this fall at Maple Hill Pavilion.

Burlington Stores has signed at Maple Hill Pavilion in Kalamazoo, Mich., and plans to open there this fall. It’s Burlington’s second story in that metro, the other being located in Portage, Mich.

“We are very excited to have Burlington, one of America’s most popular retailers, join the tenant mix at Maple Hill Pavilion,” stated Mike Makinen, COO of the center’s owner, ShopOne. “This lease offers further testament to the strength and quality of our platform.”

ShopOne is a private REIT that operates some 20 centers in 11 states that include California, Ohio, New York, and Tennessee. It is growing its portfolio by focusing on locations that draw high local traffic.

“We definitely like metropolitan markets, but we look for dominant locations where our supermarket tenants will draw strong traffic,” Makinen said.

Maple Hill Pavilion is located on the northwest corner of W. Main Street and N. Drake Road in Kalamazoo, just east of US-131. Approximately 45,000 cars pass the site each day.

Other tenants in the center include Target, Marshalls, Old Navy, Five Below, Hobby Lobby, and Ulta.
