Helzberg Diamonds has a new marketing chief.
The company appointed Ellen Junger as its chief marketing officer. She will be tasked with "helping lead Helzberg Diamonds into the next generation of innovation for the brand,” said Beryl Raff, the company’s chairman and CEO.
Junger joins the company after spending a year as an independent director at The Gorilla Glue Company. Prior to that, Junger was chief customer and marketing officer at Payless ShoeSource.
Prior to Payless, she spent 16 years at Hallmark Cards in a variety of executive roles. She started out as VP of Everyday Cards, then five years later was named president of Hallmark Canada.
Later, she became senior VP of marketing and chief marketing officer at Hallmark Cards, and continued to take on more responsibility. Along with her CMO title, she was promoted to senior VP consumer solutions, and later senior VP of corporate brand development.
"I look forward to taking this great company forward by re-energizing the brand through smart marketing and new ways of reaching consumers,” Junger said.
