Neiman Marcus ends hunt for CFO

4/3/2018
Neiman Marcus Group has tapped a Belk executive as its new finance head.

The retailer announced the appointment of Adam Orvos as CFO, effective April 25, 2018. He assumes the role from Dale Stapleton, who has served as interim CFO since June 2017. (Stapleton will continue to serve as senior VP and chief accounting officer.)

Most recently, Orvos was promoted to CEO of Total Wine & More, which he joined in 2016 as VP of retail. Prior to that, he was with Belk Department Stores, which he joined in 2006 and where he held several roles, including serving as CFO from 2013 to 2016. Orvos began his retail career in 1987 with the May Department Stores Company.

“With his substantial financial insights and business acumen, Adam is the ideal partner to drive Neiman Marcus Group’s continued transformation into an innovative, results-driven company committed to achieving targeted short- and long-term performance goals," stated Geoffroy van Raemdonck, CEO, Neiman Marcus Group.
