John Dickerson, who spent the last three years managing the digital marketing efforts of the massive Butler Plaza center in Gainesville, Fla., has been promoted to director of marketing at Butler Enterprises.
Dickerson has more than 15 years of experience in social media strategy and implementation. Working with a Gainesville-based television station and a local startup, he coordinated campaigns with national bloggers, QVC, and GNC retailers. Just before joining Butler in 2018, Dickerson spent four years as a digital marketing associate at Tower Hill Insurance Group in Gainesville.
“I’m eager to continue working with our leasing team to bring new and exciting businesses to the Gainesville market,” Dickerson said.
Butler is the largest retail center in North Central Florida. Its 267 acres houses more than 150 stores and restaurants in three distinct shopping plazas over 2 million sq. ft. of GLA. Butler Town Center, which includes Cheesecake Factory, Whole Foods, and P.F. Chang’s opened in 2018.
Before Butler Enterprises, John worked with the largest Florida-based homeowners insurance carrier producing digital media content. John is a Gainesville native and attended the University of Florida, graduating in 2010.
