DSW parent company offering new round of worker bonuses

The parent company of DSW is giving employees a $200 bonus.

Designer Brands Inc. is once again rewarding its frontline workers.

The parent company of DSW and other footwear banners will give its hourly store employees a $200 “appreciation” bonus, reported MarketWatch. It’s the third such bonus of the year. The footwear and accessories retailer gave its frontline workers a $200 bonus at the end of August, and a $250 bonus in March.

The new bonus will cost Designer Brands $2 million and brings the total investment for the year to $5.75 million, the report said.

Designer Brands last week reported third-quarter earnings that beat expectationsalong with “record-setting” margin expansion. Sales rose 30.7% to $853.5 million. Comparable sales increased 40.8%.

Designer Brands operates nearly 700 stores under the DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse, The Shoe Company, and Shoe Warehouse banners. The company designs and produces footwear and accessories through Camuto Group, a leading manufacturer selling in more than 5,400 stores worldwide.
