Fanatics gives memorabilia fans new way to pay

Online specialty retailer joins branded credit card team.

Fanatics, an online retailer of officially licensed sports merchandise, is partnering with consumer financial services company Synchrony to launch the FanCash Rewards Card by Fanatics. This customized payment method will offer cardholders special benefits such as personalized merchandise offers, exclusive access to sports experiences, and automatic enrollment in the Fanatics FanCash loyalty program, including an initial FanCash bonus after the first eligible purchase. Cardholders will be rewarded with a 5% FanCash reward on every purchase.

As an added incentive, cardholders will receive double coverage on Fanatics’ proprietary “Jersey Assurance” program, which allows customers to swap jerseys of their favorite players and teams during eligible trade and free agency windows. Cardholders will receive coverage for 180 days, instead of the standard 90 days for non-cardholders.

“We are thrilled to launch the new FanCash Rewards Card and offer up a new, personalized way for fans to purchase the latest merchandise and gain access to incredible experiences for the leagues, teams and players they are most passionate about,” said Chris Orton, Fanatics co-president of direct-to-consumer retail. “Utilizing Synchrony’s industry-leading credit and marketing program will allow us to reach more fans through unique, one of a kind offers.”
