2/22/2019
The parent company of Winn-Dixie, Bi-Lo, Fresco y Mas and Harveys is closing 22 stores across its banners.

Southeastern Grocers emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in May 2018. The chain’s restructuring included the closure of 94 locations, leaving it with more than 575 stores operating across seven states. The new round of stores to be shuttered will go dark on or before. March 25.

When Southeastern emerged from bankruptcy, it said it was looking to improve the customer experience, and would embark on a remodel program.

“It is an exciting new day for Southeastern Grocers as we emerge a stronger company with an optimal store footprint that is well-positioned to thrive in the competitive retail market,” president and CEO Anthony Hucker said at the time.
